DVD recorder light

Hi,

When writing DVDs, DB keeps the recorder light blinking all the time, while Nero keeps it always lighting. Anyone noticed the same? Should this be related to the size of the buffer or something? If this blinking means stopping and starting reading everytime, could the recorder be damaged?

I am using version 1.8.0.224 under windows xp sp2. my DVD recorder is from a Toshiba laptop, although I don't know the model number. It's three years old and only writes at 2x.
