DeepBurner Free create DVD vs CD capacity

Postby mwwalsh on Thu Nov 10, 2005 5:31 am

I have DVD RW discs and a Sony DVD RW drive but when I start burning a set of files I've dragged onto the target disc window it limits me to writing about 700MB, no where near the 4.7GB I think should get on a DVD. Is there a setting I have to change to get the program to recognize the DVD capacity?

What's the program version? What happens with all the other data?

I think it is V1.7 of DeepBurner Free. I downloaded it from http://www.deepburner.com/ . Basically, when I try to add more folders of files to copy it says there is no more room, but I'm know where near the 4.7 GB capacity of the disc. I have a Sony DVD+-RW drive and the Disc is DVD-RW and says it is 4.7GB

Do you see this message while adding the files or after hitting the Burn button?

I have just installed the latest free version 1.7.1.213 and have DVD RW 4.7gB discs with a NEC DVD burner and have exactly the same problem. The message usually pops up just before you burn but sometimes when you press the burn button a message pops up.
