Audible "click" between tracks upon CD playback

Postby Paul on Fri Dec 09, 2005 3:33 am

Hi :D

I am new to the CD burning process. I have a 1998 IBM Aptiva and Win98 OS.
I installed an older Yamaha CD-R drive into my computer. It seems to work fine, and DB's latest freeware version recognizes it, however, I cannot use the "CD at Once" feature, as I get a message telling me that my CD drive does not support it.
So, I burn, "Track at a Time," and when I play back the recorded CD, I am finding an audible "click" at the beginning of every track. It isn't a big deal, but it is annoying, and I'd like to get rid of it if possible.
I have to burn at 4X, as anything faster only creates coasters.
If there is anything I could try with DB, or the burning process to rid my burns of this "click," I would like to hear from you. Likewise, if there is anything I might do during the ripping process, such as add a few seconds of silence between tracks, to eliminate this "Click" problem... I'm all ears!
Thanks, I'll be stopping back for any replies.
Paul

Please try to use the Sesstion-at-once burning mode.

Session at once

Hi,
Thank you for your reply. Let me also thank you for making this freeware version of your product available.

I did try the "session at once" feature, but it failed to write the files to disk.
I will give it another try. Paul
