Playing a multisession dvd on a home dvd player

Postby ZeCat on Tue Sep 02, 2008 3:27 pm

Hello,
I burnt an .avi movie on a dvd+R in multisession mode, expecting to burn some more. It played very well on my home dvd player. Later, I added a second .avi movie using "append a session" and I burnt it. So the two movies appears in my computer (using Windows Media Player) but only the first one appears on the menu of my home dvd player. Why and how can I resolve that problem ?
Thanks by advance.

This is a general issue of DVD format. Multi-sessional DVDs could be not fully playable on some devices. Generaly it's not recommeded to burn multi-session DVD if you want to play it on another devices.

Hi Sola,

I am also facing the same problem and thought it to be some problem with DeepBurner. So what is your suggestion Sola in this regard. Should I burn all the movies in a single session ?

Thanks,
Vishal.
