Burning issue: only half the files burn.

Postby passepartout on Sat Mar 15, 2008 12:23 am

I've been using DeepBurner for a while and have had no problems with it, until now. The last two DVDs I tried to burn came out incomplete. Half the files in the "added folder" were missing. This has happened to me twice after having burned many DVDs to full capacity (4.35 approx.gigabytes). Does anyone know what is happening. The last two DVDs both contained movies from Asia, in Chinese or Japanese. Is that an issue somehow? I'm using an 800 mhz PC and running Windows XP Pro.

All help appreciated.

What is the size of your files? DB can't burn files larger then 2Gb

Thanks for the response.

The file sizes are smaller than two gigabytes, but I am wondering if it is the language coding for the Chinese titles of the videos. I may not have downloaded extra language support when I installed DeepBurner. I will try again to burn a complete DVD's worth of files and if I don't have success I will try re-installing DeepBurner and see what happens. As I said I've had no trouble with it until now. Maybe a re-install will fix it up. I'll let you know what happens. Agin, thanks for taking the time for this.

I just finished burning a regular full sized (for me) DVD. I finally figured out what the issue was. I got mixed up somehow between multisession and no multisession burns, so that (I think) DeepBurner kept seeing unburned files from an earlier session or kept believing that half of the current DVD had already been used. I think I am past it now. Thanks for the input and patience.
