deep burner portable is NOT portable

It seems that you've installed desktop version by mistake.
There is no DeepBurner Pro Portable. We have only Free Portable.

But why does it store "config.cfg" and "deepburner.log" in %user%appdata ?

Moreover, it stores its settings in the registry, so portable it is not...

I agree totally with that !

"DeepBurner1_Portable.zip" create "C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\DeepBurner" folder and "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Astonsoft" registry key and subkeys...
